These terms and conditions govern the use of genotyping services provided by Chick Check ("the Company"). By utilizing these services, you agree to adhere to these terms and conditions in their entirety. Chick Check makes available to you advanced molecular biology techniques to increase the accuracy and reliability in the process of chicken sex determination over conventional phenotypic and visual analysis methods. We make every effort to run each test with the utmost care and ensure best laboratory practices are adhered to to help greatly reduce the chances for cross contamination. However, please be advised Chick Check’s accuracy is highly dependent on you, the customer’s, sample collection ability and technique. Thus, you acknowledge the potential for cross contamination while you extract the samples or mail them for testing that is beyond the control of Chick Check and thus cannot hold Chick Check liable for any issues arising from any results, false or not. Chick Check testing is based on the samples you deliver as well as the information you provide. Chick Check is therefore not accountable for any cross-contamination in the process of extracting samples from the birds, any misinformation, or any other factor beyond reasonable control.
Chick Check specializes in poultry genotyping, utilizing DNA collected from blood samples to determine the sex of chickens. Chick Check’s services are designed to provide accurate and reliable genetic information to individuals including poultry breeders and hobbyists.
Customers are required to submit blood samples from their chickens for genotyping. Samples must be collected and shipped in accordance with the instructions provided by the Company. Chick Check is not responsible for shipping costs or any damage or loss of samples during transit.
While Chick Check strives to provide accurate and reliable genotyping results, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy due to the inherent variability of genetic testing. Customers should understand that genotyping results are based on scientific analysis using Polymerase Chain Reaction and agarose DNA gel electrophoresis techniques and may be subject to limitations.

Payment for genotyping services is due upon invoice receipt. Chick Check accepts various forms of payment, as specified on the invoice that will be emailed or texted to you depending on your indicated preference on the order form. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Currently there is no charge to the customer for transaction fees, however this is subject to change and customers will be notified if such a change occurs.
Refunds are not available once genotyping services have been initiated. Customers may cancel their order before samples are processed, but a cancellation fee of 25% the cost of each sample may apply. Please contact Chick Check at info@chickcheck.us for further details.
Sometimes the assay fails and two re-test attempts are automatically performed from the samples that you originally sent to us at no additional charge. You acknowledge this retest may cause delays in the receipt of your chicken sex results. If the sample is deemed non-suitable for analysis after two re-test attempts Chick Check will contact you to coordinate the collection/receipt of a new sample of which you, the customer, are financially responsible for at the same rate of the original unsuccessful sample should you agree to re-send.
Chick Check shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of Chick Check’s services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, California, County of San Mateo, and Daly City Jurisdiction Code 41015. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the above-mentioned Daly City Jurisdiction.
Chick Check reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Customers are advised to review the terms and conditions periodically for any changes.
